How many days until Christmas 2026?
Christmas Day 2026 is Friday 25 December. The live countdown at the top of this page shows exactly how many days, hours, minutes and seconds are left, and the Christmas Countdown app shows it on your phone and home screen.
How many sleeps until Christmas?
Sleeps count the nights left before Christmas morning, so on Christmas Eve there is 1 sleep to go. In the app, choose the Sleeps countdown style or add the Sleeps widget to your home screen.
Is the Christmas Countdown app free?
Yes. The app is free to download and use, with ads. An optional Premium subscription removes ads and unlocks extra scenes, styles, the live wallpaper and more.
Can I add a Christmas countdown widget to my home screen?
Yes. Long-press an empty part of your Android home screen, tap Widgets, find Christmas Countdown and drag the Classic, Sleeps or Bauble widget onto your screen. Widgets show days and hours and update every hour.
Can I count down to Christmas Eve instead?
Yes. In the app, open Customise and choose Count down to: Christmas Eve. Widgets and reminders follow your choice.
Why does it say 0 days on Christmas Eve?
“Days” means whole 24-hour periods. On Christmas Eve afternoon there are only hours left. If you prefer counting nights, choose the Sleeps style.
Does the app have an advent calendar?
Yes. From 1 to 24 December you can unwrap a gift every day with a festive idea, a fun Christmas fact and a carol to play.
Is the Santa Tracker real?
It’s a just-for-fun animation that follows the time zones as midnight arrives around the world on Christmas Eve. It does not use real-time or location data.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up. Your trees, gift lists, letters and settings are saved only on your phone.
How do I cancel Premium?
Open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Christmas Countdown → Cancel. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for.
What data does the app collect?
Your lists and settings never leave your phone. We use Google AdMob for ads and Google Firebase for anonymous usage statistics, crash reports and notifications. Read the full Privacy Policy for details.
