Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms before using the App. They explain your rights, our rights, and how Premium subscriptions work.

1 The App

Christmas Countdown 2026 is an entertainment app for Android that counts down to Christmas with animated scenes and lights, and includes an advent calendar, home-screen widgets, a live wallpaper, mini-games, a tree decorator, a gift planner with Secret Santa, a card maker, a letter to Santa, festive countdowns, music and reminders.

2 Who can use the App

The App is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who must agree to these Terms for you and approve any purchase. Purchases require a Google account that is allowed to make payments.

3 Your licence

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Android devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in line with these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.

You may not: copy, modify or create derivative works of the App; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it (except where the law allows); remove copyright or other notices; rent, sell, sublicense or distribute it; or use it to build a competing product.

4 Free and Premium

The App is free to download and use with ads. An optional Premium subscription adds the following:

We may change which features are free or Premium. If we remove a Premium feature you are paying for, we will make reasonable efforts to replace it with something of similar value, or you may cancel as described below.

5 Subscriptions and payments

5.1 Billing

Premium is sold as an auto-renewing yearly subscription through Google Play. The price, billing period, and any introductory price or free trial are shown in the App and in Google Play before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. Google Play's payment terms also apply.

5.2 Introductory offers and free trials

If an introductory price or free trial is offered, it applies once per eligible Google account. When it ends, the subscription renews automatically at the regular price unless you cancel before the offer period ends.

5.3 Cancelling

You can cancel at any time in Google Play: open the Play Store → tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Christmas Countdown → Cancel subscription. You can also reach this from the Premium screen in the App. Uninstalling the App does not cancel your subscription. After cancelling, you keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for.

5.4 Refunds

Payments are processed by Google, so refunds are handled under the Google Play refund policy. Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights you have, including any right to cancel under your local consumer law.

5.5 Price changes

We may change the subscription price. Google Play will notify you in advance, and where the law or Google Play requires it, you will need to accept the new price before it applies to your subscription.

5.6 Restoring Premium

Premium is linked to the Google account you bought it with. If you reinstall the App or change phones, sign in to the same Google account in Google Play and open the App; Premium is restored automatically.

6 Ads and rewarded ads

The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob, as described in our Privacy Policy. Some items show an AD badge: if you choose to watch a rewarded ad, that item unlocks on your device for 12 hours. After a game you may be offered an optional ad for bonus Star Dust, which you can skip. Rewards are given only when the ad is watched to the end and depend on an ad being available. Rewards have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and may be lost if you clear the App's data or reinstall. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or the websites they link to.

7 Star Dust and achievements

"Star Dust" is an in-app reward earned by using the App, for example by drawing snow, opening advent doors, playing games and completing achievements. It can be spent only in the App's snow shop on cosmetic items. Star Dust cannot be bought with money, has no monetary value, cannot be exchanged, transferred or redeemed for cash or anything outside the App, and is stored only on your device. We may change how Star Dust is earned or spent, and how much items cost.

8 Your content

Names, gift lists, letters, events and other text or designs you create in the App ("your content") belong to you and are stored only on your device. You are responsible for your content and for anything you choose to share with others through your phone's share menu. Please respect other people's privacy when entering or sharing names, and don't share content you don't have the right to share.

9 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the App for anything unlawful, harmful, harassing, hateful or offensive, including in cards or letters you share;
• interfere with the App's ads, for example by clicking ads you're not interested in, using automated tools, or trying to get rewards without watching ads;
• try to bypass Premium, the subscription or the rewarded-ad system, or tamper with Star Dust, scores or achievements;
• hack, overload, disrupt or reverse engineer the App or the services it uses;
• use the App in a way that breaches the Google Play Terms of Service.

10 Countdown, reminders and Santa Tracker

The countdown, widgets, live wallpaper and reminders depend on your device's clock, time zone and battery settings. We work hard to make them accurate (including daylight-saving changes), but we can't guarantee them. Android may delay widget updates and notifications to save battery. Please don't rely on the App for anything important, such as shopping deadlines.

The Santa Tracker, the Nice List certificate, advent facts and other festive content are for fun and entertainment only. The Santa Tracker is a simulation based on time zones, not real-time tracking.

11 Intellectual property

The App, its scenes, artwork, animations, code, music arrangements, name and logo are owned by LinksGroups Engine or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Fonts included in the App are used under their open licences, which you can view in the App's licences page. These Terms don't give you any rights to our trademarks.

12 Third-party services

The App relies on services provided by Google (Google Play, Google Play Billing, AdMob, User Messaging Platform and Firebase). Your use of these is also subject to their own terms, including the Google Play Terms of Service and Google Terms of Service. We are not responsible for third-party services.

13 Updates and availability

We may update the App to add, change or remove features, fix bugs or meet legal and platform requirements. Some updates may be required to keep using the App. The App may sometimes be unavailable, or a feature may stop working because of a third-party service. We may stop offering the App at any time; if we do while you have an active subscription, you can cancel and request a refund through Google Play.

14 Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device. This does not affect any rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

15 Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, LinksGroups Engine is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the App is limited to the amount you paid us for Premium in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

16 Ending these terms

You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it (and cancelling any subscription in Google Play). We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. When these Terms end, you must stop using the App. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as intellectual property, disclaimer and limitation of liability) continue to apply.

17 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you live elsewhere you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country and may bring proceedings in your local courts.

18 Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the App or on our store listing. If you continue to use the App after changes take effect, the updated Terms apply. If you don't agree, stop using the App and cancel any subscription.
